Hilton Ravencraft was born on September 13, 1925, in Magnolia, Mississippi. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on October 14, 1944, and served with Headquaters Battery of the 38th Field Artillery Battalion in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. PFC Ravencraft saw combat in the closing two months of the war in Europe and returned to the United States in September 1945. He received an honorable discharge on January 30, 1946. Hilton Ravencraft died on April 17, 1990, and was buried at the Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, Mississippi.
