Tim Curry was born on July 11, 1969, in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on July 20, 1988, and went on active duty beginning on June 7, 1989. Pvt Curry completed Marine Corps Recruit Training at MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina, in September 1989, and the Travel Clerk Course at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, in December 1989. He served as a Disbursing Clerk with the 3rd Force Service Support Group on Okinawa, Japan, from January to December 1990, and he then attended the Marine Security Guard School at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, from December 1990 to February 1991. His next assignment was as a Marine Security Guard with the Marine Security Guard Battalion, U.S State Department, at the American Embassy in Cape Town, South Africa, from March 1991 to May 1992, followed by service as a Marine Security Guard with the Marine Security Guard Battalion, U.S. State Department, at the American Embassy in Moscow, Russia, from May 1992 to June 1993. Sgt Curry's final assignment was as a Marine Security Guard with the Marine Security Guard Battalion, U.S. State Department, at the American Embassy in Helsinki, Finland, from June to September 1993. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps on November 2, 1993, and from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve on May 4, 1995. Sgt Curry qualified expert and was authorized to wear both the Rifle Expert Badge and Pistol Expert Badge. After leaving the Marine Corps, Tim worked in the auto industry for many years. He died on October 26, 2024.
