Arthur Fusco was born on September 27, 1961, in Durham, New Hampshire. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on February 22, 1982, and went on active duty to begin basic training on June 10, 1982. Seaman Fusco completed basic training at NTC Great Lakes, Illinois, in August 1982, followed by Quartermaster A School at Great Lakes from August to October 1982. After serving in the Fleet he attended Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training with Class 125 at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, California, from June to December 1983. His next assignment was with SEAL Team FOUR at NAB Little Creek, Virginia, from December 1983 until he was killed in a demolition accident in Honduras on December 12, 1984.
