  Tribute:

Ron Pace was born on March 19, 1947, in Oxnard, California. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on July 27, 1966, and completed basic training at NTC San Diego, California, in October 1966. Pace next attended Underwater Demolition Team Replacement Accession training with Class 040 at NAB Coronado, California, from October 1966 to May 1967, followed by service with Underwater Demolition Team ELEVEN (UDT-11) at NAB Coronado from May 1967 to February 1968. During this time, Petty Officer Pace deployed with his Team to Southeast Asia from May to August 1967. He then served with SEAL Team ONE at NAB Coronado from February to November 1968, and then deployed with his Team to Southeast Asia from November 1968 until he was killed in action in South Vietnam on May 17, 1969. Ron Pace was buried at the Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California.
