Frank Coolidge was born on December 4, 1906, in Concord, Massachusetts. He entered Officer Training School on September 3, 1942, and was commissioned a 2d Lt in the U.S. Army on October 25, 1942. His first assignment was as a Military Police Officer with the 946th Guard Squadron at Rome, New York, from October 1942 to June 1943, followed by service as Assistant S-3 for Air at Rome Army Air Field, New York, from July to September 1943. After completing training with the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), Maj Coolidge served as an instructor with the French Resistance from November 1943 to November 1944, and then served with the OSS in Washington, D.C., from November 1944 to February 1945. His next assignment was to the Pacific Theater, where he served from February to November 1945. He left active duty on December 24, 1945. Frank Coolidge died on January 15, 1972.
