Sheldon Berlow was born on May 10, 1917, in Newark, New Jersey. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces on December 9, 1942, and after completing Army Air Force Officer Candidate School, was commissioned a 2d Lt and trained as a Public Relations Officer. Lt Berlow deployed to England as public relations officer with Headquarters 352nd Fighter Group in August 1943, and returned to the U.S. in November 1945, leaving active duty on February 2, 1946. After leaving the military, Sheldon returned to the advertising industry, eventually becoming a partner in an advertising company in New York City. He left advertising in 1955 and moved to Florida, where he worked in real estate for the rest of his life. Sheldon Berlow died on January 6, 1991, and was buried in Broward County, Florida.
